Gil B. Genio, Head of International and Business Market Groups, Globe

Gil Genio is the head of Globe's international and business markets groups. These groups are responsible for sales, relationships, marketing, products and support for Globe's overseas Filipino and carrier customers, and for business customers from SMEs to the largest enterprises and BPOs. He is also CEO of Globe's subsidiaries Innove Communications and GTI Business Holdings, and is a Managing Director of Ayala Corporation. He joined Globe Telecom in July 1997 as Chief Financial Officer.

Before joining Globe, Gil Genio had spent more than 11 years with Citibank in various capacities, having joined in Manila and subsequently posted to Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong. He has had stints in financial control, risk management, product development, audit and market risk management.

Gil obtained a Masters in Business Management, graduating With Distinction, from the Asian Institute of Management. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, magna cum laude, from the University of the Philippines.
