Digital Asia is part of a series of large scale Executive Brainstorms & Innovation Forums that have been run across the world since 2006.

The New Digital Economics executive brainstorms typically comprise 100-300 senior execs from across the Communications, Media, and Technology sectors. The profile of the participants is as follows:

  • They typically come from a mix of Strategy, Technology, Marketing, Finance, R&D and Operational functions.
  • They are involved in designing and delivering new business models, services portfolios and new technology.
  • They are responsible for, or involved in, strategic vision and product direction.
  • They share a common goal - to increase the value of their organizations.
They believe that ‘business as usual’ isn’t sustainable.
  • They are interested in growth opportunities for their business, not just managing cost.
  • They are looking for stimulating ideas from outside their company, country and industry and want to be exposed to ideas that challenge their assumptions about the industry and how to do business.
  • They are interested in practical solutions to short-term problems, so they prove a case for broader innovation.
  • They come to STL Partners events because of the unique brainstorming format focused on cutting-edge topics.

Between events they digest STL industry research and analysis (reports and blog).

STL have been running executive brainstorms since October 2006, past participants include:

"One of the best-facilitated business conferences I have yet attended. The collaborative problem-solving approach to cross-training seemed steeped in advanced learning organization theory, yet we covered a lot of ground in two short days. I learned much about the issues and challenges facing entrenched concerns while contributing to the group's understanding of the impact of coming technology to evolving business models."
