Brian Bogaerts, VP Strategic Innovation, KPN

Brian Bogaerts has more than 10 years of telecom industry experience, with a particular interest in strategy, innovation, business development and cultural change.

An engineer by training, Brian joined Alcatel (a global telecommunications corporation) in 2000, where he assumed both operational and strategic (leadership) roles.

Looking back on proven successes in a business-to-business, multinational and multi-cultural environment, across the fields of project management, product development, strategic business planning, market strategy, sales and operations, Brian decided to sharpen his strategic skills.

With an MBA in his pocket, he joined The Boston Consulting Group, a leading management consultancy, in 2006. Having developed into a strategic C-level advisor with expertise ensuing from exposure across a variety of industries including telecom, financial services, consumer goods, industrial goods and energy, Brian followed his wife’s ambitions to Amsterdam and decided to return to the telecom industry in 2009.

At KPN, a leading  (BtB & BtC) telecom provider in The Netherlands with both fixed and mobile assets, Brian assumed a number  ofleadership roles – among others, he was responsible for the definition and implementation of Life Cycle Management, Access & Multimedia strategy. In his current role (VP Strategic Innovation), Brian focuses on intrapreneurship, business development and business growth.
