Speaker Biography

 

Subhra Das, EVP, Marketing & Customer Experience, du (UAE's premier quadplay telecom operator)

Subhra has successfully developed and executed an  innovation-led strategy  to drive du’s rapid ascent to a 47-percent mobile market-share within 5 years from launch, in one of the world’s most penetrated mobile market. He has worked in senior management and consulting roles in various mobile telcos across Middle-East, Africa, India and Europe.

In January 2012, Subhra received the NGl Excellence award for Global leadership in Marketing & Branding. Communicate Magazine (Advertising Age) recently ranked Subhra among  the  top 25 most powerful in the Media, Marketing and Advertising industry within MENA. He was also nominated for Marketing Person of the Year at the ME Effies last year.

Subhra is an  alumnus of Harvard Business School having completed the Advanced Management Program. He studied at  Delhi College of Engineering, and later completed his Post Graduation in Business Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Subhra is also an avid guitar player, and recorded artist in Jazz/fusion/rock/blues styles. He has a Master’s Certificate in Guitar from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Boston.
